Home Evangelism

It is wonderful that wherever we go as Christians we soon find others of God's family.

Our first three years with 'Home Evangelism' (then Christian Colportage) led us to many new friends in Bournemouth and Poole. However door to door visitation at that time was a lonely experience, as we seldom went with a partner. It is good to see that the mission is now involved in the training of others on this work.

A training week is held annually. This is a really good time of fellowship, ministry, and practical teaching and has been a real blessing to many people. Church teams for visiting have sometimes resulted and training days for churches or areas can be arranged.

Booklets, tracts and gospels are used freely, also Christian books where appropriate. By these means many who might never hear the message are reached. Some question our right to visithomes but many give us a warm welcome. The evangelists working with evangelical churches are able to give follow up good contacts.

The book 'Right up your street' by Colin Groome is obtainable from Christian Focus publications. If you would like details of the 1998 training please ask either of us.
